CPS SENIOR INSPECTORS – (Payclass 08)

We invite applicants for appointments as CPS Senior Inspectors Grade A in the Campus Protection Services
department of Properties and Services UCT.
 
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
• PSIRA Grade A registered.
• Driver’s License (EB).
• Basic Firefighting and First Aid Level 3.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in security supervision.
• Key skills include Computer Literacy; Understanding of Electronic Patrolling Systems; Security Operating
Procedures (SOP’s); Online intelligence; Incident Management Reporting and SAP basic understanding.
• The ability to build strong partnerships through teamwork and collaboration.
• Provide individual leadership to staff and the ability to handle conflict.
• Build interpersonal relationships and provide effective communication.
 
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and ensure smooth day to day operation of the shift and site and adherence to SOP’s.
• Ensure shift instructions and emergency plans issued by management are strictly adhered to.
• Ensure that the electronic patrol system is conducted as required.
• Posting of staff to various sites with the required manpower allocated and adherence to incident
management reporting.
• Secure UCT property/assets and members and ensure relevant equipment is optimally functional.
• Management of performance, employee relations and leave/absenteeism of staff.
• Conduct risk assessments and attend stakeholder meetings when required.
• Overseeing any specials events on campus
• Compile relevant reports to management
• Ensure security visibility in allocated areas.
 
The annual cost of employment is between R 415 430 and R 488 741
