Key Accounts Manager
Salary – Market Related
Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required:
    • 5-7 years working experience as a Key Account Manager (KAM) with at least 5 years in the clearing and forwarding industry.
    • Key Account/Account Management experience within the Freight and Logistics Industry (Air and Sea freight)
    • Current and previous operations experience is required within the Air Freight and Sea Freight industry
    • Operations background would be a distinct advantage.
    • Servicing & Sales, International Trade principles & practice
    • Macro and Micro factors impacting the business environment.
    • Understanding of statutory charges and application of revenue generating charges
    • Company Standard trading conditions and liability limitations
    • Terms of payment and relevant finance fees. CRM tools, INCOTERMS
    • Carrier & depot conditions of trade. National currencies and international codes
    • Computer literacy (Intermediate competency utilising Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point and Outlook
    • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong Business acumen
    • Presentation & Negotiation skills -intermediate
    • Client/service orientation
    • Situation analysis & problem solving

Relevant Qualifications:
    • Matric
    • 1 Year Sales and Marketing related qualification (NQF Level 5)
Overall Responsibilities Include:
    • Acquire new business (Only in a Hybrid Role)
    • Retain and grow the current book of business
    • Support credit control in the management of the clients’ credit application
    • Client Servicing
    • Record client information
    • Report on Servicing Activities
    • Comply with the requirements of the quality management system
    • Ad Hoc
    • Customer service orientation -Able to handle a demanding customer environment
    • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Strong Report writing skills
