Locum Pharmacist – (Somerset West CPT) – Twelve (12) months Contract
    • Relevant Degree
    • More than 10 years of experience as a pharmacist which includes:
        • More than 2 years in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing of accelerator-based products such as 18F-FDG, 123I-solution, 123I-capsules, and 123I-mIBG.
    • Must have a good understanding of the batch release mechanism of the aforementioned products.
    • During the Responsible Pharmacist’s absence (sick leave, vacation leave, or study leave). The client seeks to appoint a Locum Pharmacist on a need basis and at short notice (within 24 hours) for 12 months.
    • The client produces radiopharmaceuticals such as 18F-FDG, 123I-solution, 123I-capsules, and 123I-mIBG on a routine daily basis for the nuclear medicine community of South Africa.
    • These products are produced under a license issued by the Medicines Control Council (now the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority).
    • As part of the regulatory requirements, a Responsible Pharmacist that is a permanent staff member of the company is authorized to release the final radiopharmaceutical product.
Additional Information:
    • The Locum Pharmacist is expected to be on duty for at least 37 hours a week for 48 weeks (depending on requirements, hours will be communicated as and when needed with the awarded company) spread over 12 months.
