MANAGER PERFORMANCE MONITORING & REPORTING
 
Duties & Responsibilities
 
To manage financial and management accounting system. Produce financial reports, direct investment activities, and develop tactical plans for the long-term financial goals of the organisation.
 
Maintain JD Edwards integrated computer
 
Financial accounting systemsffunctions Accounting Functions and systems to reflect the companies latest requirements in are developed, maintained and reported systems respect of:  Creation of new object accounts, companies and Business Units, category codes, date patterns and users address books o Change monthly accounting pericds in consultation with Financial Managers
 
Change, update and/ design required reports to enable users o extract information for business analysis and reporting to management
 
Develop new reports in conjunction with IT
 
Advise Divisional Manager Group Finance on issues such as ledger types used for budgets and required type of maintenance to update certain fields.
 
Attend user group and project meefings to come to grips with advanced applications and system | refinement
 
Report system problems to IT to avoid downtown Develop spreadsheets to calculate interest payable on loans, report summaries and cashflow statements Review VAT returns and supporting documents, calculations and reconciliations.
Ensure correct VAT payment to SARS
Determine amounts to be transferred to ex Ithala SOC Limited in respect of Business Finance and Properties department receipts and advise the Senior Accountant/Treasurer
Calculate and supply quartery statistics for Performance information reporting i.e. cost to income, debt to equity and return on assets
Disseminate logged internal audit finding to Senior Accountants for investigaion and clearing thereof
Prepare bad debts submissions to Board
 
 Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA/SA)
8years experience in Financial Management role
SAICA Membership
