Overview/Objective:
The primary objective of this engagement is to ensure that MRAC and MOSAC committees are
efficiently supported through dedicated administrative assistance, resulting in:
- Streamlined development and review of mining health and safety legislation;
- Improved coordination among stakeholders;
- Timeous delivery of draft regulations and guidelines;
- Comprehensive record-keeping and compliance reporting.
Key Requirements (Qualifications, Skills and Experience):
- Secretarial/ Administrative certificate/ diploma.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in administrative support roles.
- Mining or technical administrative experience is an added advantage.
- Excellent writing, minute-taking and organisational skills.
Scope of Work/Responsibilities:
The detailed scope of work for the Administrator is as follows:
- Accurately minute meeting attendance, deliberations and action items and distribute as per the required standards.
- Prepare and distribute required documentation for all scheduled and ad hoc (unscheduled) meetings for relevant sub-committees/ task teams/ ad-hoc/ technical tripartite committees (e.g. Notice of meeting, agenda, minutes of previous meeting and compilation of documentation and reports on items to be discussed).
- Ensure filing of approved minutes and relevant documentation.
- Engage relevant stakeholders on meetings to ensure maximum participation.
- Lead all logistical arrangements for meetings, such as travel arrangements for committee members, catering and refreshments, and meeting infrastructure (e.g. projectors) are taken care of before meetings.
- The Administrator will be required to provide dedicated support to the Mine Rescue Advisory Committee (MRAC) and Mining Occupational Safety Advisory Committee (MOSAC) for a period of 12 months. The appointment is intended to assist the organization in clearing a backlog of legislative deliverables and improving overall efficiency in regulatory development and coordination.
