Our client has an exciting position for a Developer.NET
YOUR TEAM
You will work within our Centre of Excellence alongside a talented group of developers and technical experts who share a passion for delivering quality solutions for Insurance applications. This is a unique opportunity to help build and grow our Insurance technology practice and shape the direction of our Duck Creek implementation from the ground up.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, code, test, and deploy .NET applications across multiple platforms.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive systems and program documentation.
- Assist in the analysis and design of application programs and databases.
- Modify and troubleshoot application programs to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with IT management, project and maintenance teams to evaluate, design, and deliver technical solutions that support the architecture strategy.
- Contribute to the delivery of cost-effective, scalable business solutions aligned with organisational goals.
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Developed skills in .NET language, architecture, and design standards.
- Strong understanding of database design, use of indexes, stored procedures, and general T-SQL.
- In-depth knowledge of .NET tools including .NET Framework, Visual Studio .NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, and ADO.NET.
- Proven .NET architecture skills with the ability to translate these into specific project deliverables.
- Previous experience with Duck Creek software is considered a significant advantage.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Proven experience in the design, development, modification, and deployment of software using Agile methodology.
- Proficiency with source version control and release management tools (e.g. Git).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification — required.
- 5+ years of experience developing software or web applications, including object-oriented languages — required.
- 5+ years working with Microsoft SQL, .NET, SOAP or RESTful web services, JavaScript, XML, and Git or similar version control tools — desired.
- 1+ years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry — desired.
