Specialist: Employee Wellness Services (1 Year Fixed-Term-Contract) – Centurion
Salary: up to R771,969.00 pa (Based on experience)
Purpose of the role:
Reporting to Manager: Employee Wellness Services, the responsible incumbent is accountable to develop and implement programmes and interventions that aligns the workforce with key business strategic objectives and initiatives.
Minimum Requirements and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Advanced Diploma in:
- Social Work/ Occupational Health Nursing qualification.
- Registration with South African Nursing Council or South African Council of Social Service Professionals.
- The following certificates to be added advantage:
- Certification in Wellness and EAP.
- Certification in HIV/ AIDS in the workplace.
- Relevant 5 – 7 years’ experience in Employee Wellness Programme and management of incapacity and ill-health or primary healthcare or occupational healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of Employee Wellness Initiatives and Programmes.
- Knowledge of relevant Legislation and Regulations.
Key Performance Areas:
Ensure Implementation, Develop, and Evaluate Change Management Programmes and Initiatives
- Serve as an “agent of change” in support of new organizational initiatives and model teamwork in all interactions.
- Lead and manage change through the development of implementations strategies for behaviour and change stress resistance management and reinforce adoption of those changes.
- Propose and implement a change management model that is suitable for the organization’s dynamics.
Ensure Implementation of Programmes to Mitigate the Risk or HIV/AIDS and related Health Issues
- Design interventions to foster positive behaviour in the organization.
- Implement Behavioural Change Models and HIV/AIDS Knowledge Programmes make recommendations and ensure that these are adhered to.
- Facilitate diversity management in order to improve individual and workgroups.
Identify and Address Issues that Affect the Overall Health and Wellness of the Organisation including, Productivity, Morale, Efficiency and Effectiveness, Morale and Turnover
- Identify issues which impact on the organization’s workforce and design responsive strategies.
- Manage and ensure the effective implementation of organizational transformation initiatives.
- Assist in the facilitation of team dynamic interventions.
- Manage Health Risks and Disease Management Programmes.
- Coordinate Health Risk Assessments.
- Market and communicate The Company Wellness Programmes.
- Provide First Aid.
Identify and Address Occupational Health and Safety
- Manage health risks and disease management Programmes.
- Manage Occupational sites.
- Support Regional Mangers and Managers in addressing Health and Wellness issues.
Provide Employee Counselling and Capacity Building
- Provide internal employee counselling, debriefing and crisis management.
- Provide Capacity Building to management and employees on behavioural problems in the workplace.
- Provide and monitor employees with alcohol, substance abuse and victims of abuse.
- Facilitate referral pathways to external service providers.
Coordination of Sport and Recreation Activities
- Provide support to the Sporting Committee in organizing games.
- Liaise with National Sporting Committee.
- Ensure safekeeping of The Company Sporting equipment.
- Provide First Aid during games.
Policy Review and Implementation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policy, procedures and processes.
- Keep up to date with effective policy and practice execution strategies.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit Public relations reports as and when required to provide progress updates and/or inform management decisions.
- Develop functional reporting systems for management, projects or performance reporting.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate and manage communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders in relation to investments and proactively and progressively manage the relationships.
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers or procurement teams and ensure that all relevant procured items are invoiced and paid on time.
- Communicate with all levels of stakeholder contact.
