Accountant – 2-year fixed term contract – Pretoria
Salary: Market related
Minimum Requirements and Experience:
- Minimum NQF Level 6 qualification in:
- Accounting or Financial Management or equivalent
- 5-7 years relevant experience in Financial Accounting
- Financial System (Accpac)
- Knowledge of:
- PFMA act.
- GRAP
Key Performance Areas:
Stationed full-time under the Chief Directorate: PLAS Financial Management Services at the Head Office in Pretoria, perform the following functions:
- Perform accounts payable and management of creditors’ transactions.
- Maintenance and management of the general ledger.
- Compilation, review of reconciliations and monthly.
- Prepare interim and annual financial statements.
- Flag risks and issues relating to quality and compliance.
- Ensure suppliers are paid within prescribed period.
- Accurate and complete reconciliation of accounts.
- Compile accurate and complete Financial Statements for the entity.
- Compile management reports.
- Flag risks and issues relating to quality and compliance.
