Assistant Business Systems Analyst
 
 
A. DUTIES/ TASKS
 
1. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
support and maintenance
1.1. Provide user system support i.e. system
access, create user log-in credentials, remove
user access.
1.2. Attend to and resolve user system
failures/downtime.
1.3. Liaise between stakeholders and technical
team.
1.4. Conduct user system training.
1.5. Conduct system functionality testing.
1.6. Update and maintain the master file.
1.7. Undertake general system maintenance.
1.8. Provide technical support in the development of
Qlikview
 
 
2. Business Intelligence and report writing.
2.1. Report writing on Crystal and SQL reporting
services is maintained.
2.2. Undertake data extracts of core financial data.
2.3. Evaluate processes, identify trends and provide
insights on systems support and adaptations.
2.4. Data analytics.
2.5. Create detailed business processes.
 
3. Administration and Project management
3.1. Update menus and pricing on Point of Sale
(POS).
3.2. Update Master inventory
3.3. Monitor hardware control.
3.4. Provide manuals.  
 
4. Data and system analysis
 
4.1. Gather and analyse business requirements
through stakeholder interview, research and
documentation.
4.2. Define functional and non- functional
requirements to ensure clarity in project
objectives
4.3. Conduct research.
4.4. Recommend tech advancements and process
improvements.
4.5. Working closely with management team and
users to prioritise business goals and
information needs.
4.6. Analysing, supporting and controlling all stock
inventory system challenges within the ERP
system.
4.7. Ability to identify system problems, determines
possible solutions, and re-design workflows.
Ensure data entry of master files is accurate,
user profiles, financial data, marketing
promotions and inventory items.  
4.8. Analyse and evaluate data and information to
formulate conclusions and courses of action

B. QUALIFICATIONS
 
Matric plus
National Higher Certificate in IT & Computer
Science or equivalent qualification in
Information Technology/Business
Administration/Management Information
Systems/Economics/Finance (NQF level 5)  
Advantageous:
Certification in C++/SQL
 
C. EXPERIENCE
 
1-2 years’ experience in program
development
