Civil Engineering Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will support the design, development, and execution of civil engineering projects. This role requires strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist civil engineers with the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects.
- Prepare technical drawings, plans, and reports using CAD software.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data and monitor project progress.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Analyse survey reports, maps, and other data to support project development.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide technical support during project construction phases.
- Prepare project documentation, including reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering or construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
- Knowledge of civil infrastructure design, including roads, stormwater, and water supply systems.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and construction practices.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
