Internship: Medical (18 Months) (Persons With Disabilities) – Cape Town
Monthly stipend: R8,000.00 pm
Minimum requirements
- NB: Only people living with a disability will be considered
- Certified copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- B degree / Diploma (N7) in:
- Health Sciences / Nursing (General Nursing) / Clinical Medical Practice or related qualification
- Certified copy of your ID
- Certified copy of Academic transcript
- Your CV and motivational letter
- Applicants must be unemployed, never employed in the field of the post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of the post previously.
Work based exposure may include the following:
- Undertaking Officer functions
- Manual payments, MIS system, Claims View Functions, VMS system
- Trustees and Curator fees processes
- Invoice payment processes
- Caregiver payments processes
- Preauthorisation functions and supplier claim processes
- Treatment plans
- Assessment of invoices
- Bill review templates, assessments and procedures
- Communication of outcomes with other team members
- Medical Management consultant’s functions
- AMA Guides principles
- Medical Management assessments templates and processes
- Communication of outcomes to other team members
- Drafting of undertakings and the importance of Basket of care (BOC)
- Case Management officer’s functions
- Allocations and processes in Field and office case management
- Private and Public hospital case management
- Treatment plans drafting
- Fleet management process
