Investment Analyst: Multi-Management: Private Markets – Permanent – Pretoria
Salary: up to R 1,047,816.00pa  (Depending on knowledge, skills and experience)
 
Purpose of the role:
The objective of the role is to undertake research and provide information and investment ideas to the Associate Fund Principals and Fund Principal
 
Minimum Requirements and Experience:
    • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in:
        • Investment Management
        • Finance
        • Economics
        • Financial Management
        • Accounting
    • Postgraduate qualification:
        • (Hons, Masters, MBA, etc)
        • CFA or CA(SA) would be advantageous
    • FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
    • 2 -3 years Investment experience.
        • Private Equity, Fund of Funds or Multi-manager experience would be advantageous
    • Ability to conduct detailed research on sectors or industries.
    • Investment Analysis Skills
    • Basic Financial Modelling Skills
 
Key Performance Areas:
    • Deal screening – desktop analysis of investment opportunities
    • Preparation of preliminary scoping reports
    • Assist the team in complying with the requirements of each stage of the investment process
    • Assist the team in planning and coordinating due diligence on potential investment opportunities
    • Assist the team with relevant research and information in structuring and pricing of transactions
    • Assist the team in preparing term sheets
    • Assist the team in preparation of appraisal reports
    • Review transaction agreements
    • Assist the team in implementation and disbursement process
    • Assist the team in the handover of approved transactions to various divisions including portfolio management
    • Assist the team in ongoing monitoring of a portfolio of funds, including review of quarterly reports, valuation, risk management, compliance and reporting
    • Participate in the exit process for transactions.
