Reports to: Marketing Lead
 
Retainer : R 10 000 – R12000 per month
 
Location: Remote (South Africa-based preferred, option for occasional work in Durban office)
Hours: Approx. 30–40 hours per month (flexible depending on experience)
Languages: English (French is a bonus)

We focus on B2B and partnership-driven storytelling, ensuring that our messaging effectively reaches stakeholders who shape sanitation policies, fund large-scale projects, and implement innovative waste management solutions.
 
We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to enhance our brand presence, coordinate communications, and support our storytelling efforts across multiple platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an impact-driven company at the forefront of sustainable sanitation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Social Media Management – Manage and grow our LinkedIn presence across the 3 brands, ensuring brand consistency and engagement.
 
Email Marketing – Design and send email campaigns via Mailchimp, including newsletters and broadcasts.
 
Content Coordination – Plan, organise, and coordinate photoshoots to ensure a strong visual identity for our marketing materials.
Newsletter Coordination – Manage the development and distribution of company newsletters to key audiences.
 
Basic Graphic Design – Create simple, visually appealing graphics for email and social media in line with the Loowatt brand guidelines (experience with Canva or similar tools is a plus).
 
Support Marketing Lead on projects – Working on new initiatives and projects alongside the Marketing Lead (eg Impact Reporting or White Paper writing and distribution)
 
Who We’re Looking For:
Experienced in Digital Marketing – Comfortable using LinkedIn, Mailchimp, and basic content creation tools.
 
Organised & Self-Sufficient – Can work independently and manage multiple tasks without heavy oversight.
 
Creative & Detail-Oriented – A strong eye for visuals and storytelling to help drive brand awareness.
 
Strong Communicator – Excellent written English (French proficiency is a plus).
 
Based in South Africa – To align with our budget and time zone needs.
