Our client is seeking the services of a Professional Officer to assist their department to update and clean master data across systems on a 11 month contract. This project demands intensive labour, prolonged investigation of anomalies, and system corrections within their asset management department.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update registers for both movable and immovable assets, including specialised equipment.
- Update and maintain SAP asset database for all asset movements.
- Update and maintain the Directorate’s Insurance registers.
- Capture data related to condemnation, asset write-offs, and insurance claims.
- Ensure master data is accurate for annual asset and stock verification.
- Clean and correct historic master data in the system.
- Ensure all movable assets are correctly linked to current employees.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification: Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma or BCom preferred)
- Experience: 2–5 years’ relevant experience in asset management
- System Knowledge: SAP Asset Management (compulsory)
- Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; experience working with databases
- Driver’s Licence: Valid Code B (08) with at least 3 years’ driving experience
