Project Coordinator (12-Month Contract) – KZN (Durban)
Salary Range: R 362 064 –to Max R 581 886 (Based on Experience)
Minimum Requirements and Experience:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- National Diploma in:
- Electrical Engineering or related technical qualification.
- Project Management Certificate. (Essential)
- 5 years’ technical experience, with 3 years of those in the Telecommunication industry.
- 3 years in Project Management environment.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft suite
- MS Projects
- PowerPoint and Excel.
Key Performance Areas:
- Coordinate Internet Service Provider subsidy application and verification on the PES project.
- Support the Programme Manager with the day-to-day management of the Fund’s activities, coordinating the screening and reviewing of grant applications.
- Monitoring performance of grant recipients, generating learning for industry on best approaches to delivering residential broadband to low-income communities
- Oversee the work of the ISPs/ FNOs on The Company Fund technical and operations team.
- Coordinate multiple and simultaneous inter dependencies end-to-end (Proposal to Steady state operations), aggressively tracking project timelines, costs and scope and quality.
- Highlighting project critical paths and major risks, proactively identifying and addressing project challenges and resolving project conflicts.
- Arrange review of the project scope, BOM, BOQ and the scope definition workshop, and follow up on outstanding items to conclusion.
- Coordinate project management activities, resources and information throughout the project life cycle with all deliverables.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting site visits, quality assurance and strict adherence to continuous management of the project.
- Coordinate the project schedule, implement good project management practice using project management tools, monitor project progress, eliminate blockages, handle issues and ensure that clients’ requirements are met.
- Coordinate the activities of the project team, key stakeholders and ISPs by conducting regular meetings and demanding progress on daily basis and provide regular progress feedback according to The Company standards.
- Provide support on service provider queries, receiving and verifying payment payments, and ensuring the required level of support from The Company to prevent contract disputes and delays.
- Coordinate project closure by conducting the project hand – over to the operational area, finalise all outstanding service provider issues and payments, and assist with capitalisation process.
- Ensure strict adherence to The Company Capital Programme Management policies, governance, processes, and invoke escalation process according to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and escalation matrix.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports, and ensure that there is a detailed audit trail of documents.
