The announcement of the President on 15 November 2024 that spaza premises must be certified within 21 days or face closure has resulted in extreme high numbers of applications at all EH offices where applications are received.
We are therefore seeking dedicated and proactive individuals to work on this campaign as Senior Clerks (Client Engagement and Administration).
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with clients and assisting them in applying for Certificates of Acceptability, as well as performing various administrative tasks related to Spaza premises applications.
 
Skills and Competencies: Read, write and speak both languages (non negotiable)
 
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Fluency in Mandarin and English (1 position available).
    • Fluency in Bengali and English (4 positions available).
    • Fluency in Arabic and English (4 positions available).
    • Fluency in Oromo and English (4 positions available).
    • Fluency in Swahili and English (4 positions available).
    • Fluency in isiXhosa and English (16 positions available).
    • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
    • Engage with clients to assist them in applying for Certificates of Acceptability.
    • Handle various administrative duties associated with client applications for Spaza premises.
    • Provide support and guidance throughout the application process.
  
Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Express).
    • Experience: At least 1 year of client-facing experience.
