Stock Controller-Mega City
The Pharmacy is looking for a competent and experienced Stock Controller who will be the vital link between supply and demand, ensuring that the right products are available at the right time to meet customer needs. The Stock Controller shall manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate records, coordinating stock movements, and optimizing the supply chain.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Working with different departments regarding ordering and receiving of stock
- Check and adjust shop floor collection data (adjust after obtaining approval)
- Ensure that selling prices on the system and on the shelves are updated in time
- Conduct variance analysis reports to identify theft, wastage and inefficiencies
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
- Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.
- Maintain approved adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
- Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate selling before expiry
- Plan, coordinate, and manage scheduled full stock takes and periodic cycle counts
Requirements and skills
- Matric and National Diploma in Accounting/Finance Management/Cost and Management Accounting or a relevant and equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in stock management
- Computer literate
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in inventory management system
- Good maths and analytical skills
- Report writing skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
